ABOUT DAVID JONES
A baby boomer born in Sydney, David Jones was an art director and partner in an award-winning Sydney advertising agency before he retired in 2002.
A collector since 1968, on retirement he had time to finish and publish in 2009 his 30-year project that became Thirsty Work: The History of the Sydney Soft Drink Industry. It has received much acclaim and was recognised by a National Trust Heritage Award for books in 2010. See below to order.
He then embarked on this project, a comprehensive and illustrated chronicle of patent closures used in the aerated water and beer industries worldwide.
David sadly died suddenly while overseas in January 2020.
